Okinawa/Main Office IT Technician
Provides IT systems support for DoD customers in Okinawa and mainland Japan, including design, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of networks, security, and AV systems.

Employment Status: Contract Employee
Contract Period: 6 months (chance for renewal or to become a permanent employee)

Work Contents:
- Support of Design, Installation, & Testing on a variety of technologies within IT Systems required by DoD customers within Okinawa / mainland Japan.
- Maintenance & Support of legacy DoD IT Systems; Security, Networks, Audio/Video, PA, & Intercom.
*Any other works designated by the company.
Work Location: Ginowan City, Okinawa. *Work location may change due to personnel changes such as reassignment, transfer, and secondment.
Salary: 220,000-420,000 JPY per month
Qualification Allowance: 5,000-50,000 JPY (depends on kinds of license/qualification)
Commuting Allowance: Applicable when one-way distance is over 2 km (up to 30,000 JPY per month). Free parking lot is available.
Working Hours: 8:00-17:00 (1 hour lunch break). There might be some overtime work.
Holidays: Saturdays, Sundays, other days as specified by the company (124 non-working days per year). 10 days of annual leave will be provided when 6 months of service is completed.
Bonus: Twice a year (July and December)

Requirements
Required Skills and Experience
- A good understanding of IP Networks. CompTIA Sec+, Net+, or CCNA certification is required. Experience is equally as important and can be used in place of certification.
- A working knowledge of one of the following technologies:
a) Security systems: Access Control Systems, Instruction Detection Systems, Closed-Circuit Television (IP)
b) Video Tele-Conferencing & Audio Video Systems
c) Public Address & Intercom Systems
d) Wired and WiFi Networks - Good skills at Layer 1: rack cabling, termination, & physical installation.
Required License
- Japanese Driver's License
- Fluent in English with Japanese conversation skills
