Assist with pool operations, oversee assigned lifeguards, and monitor compliance with facility policies.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the operation of the pool, including its filtration system, water balance, pool chemistry, and performing water tests.
  • Oversee the work of assigned lifeguards and monitor compliance with facility policies.
  • Assist with scheduling of employees.
  • Serve as a lifeguard for guests attending the aquatic facility, rescuing swimmers and administering first aid as required.
  • Attend aquatics and/or safety training as directed.
  • Ensure the pool and surrounding area are clean and free from hazards, providing information to swimmers regarding safety rules and procedures.
  • Tactfully warn patrons who repeatedly disregard safety rules and follow facility Standard Operating Procedures for disciplinary actions.
  • Assist in coaching or preparing competitive and non-competitive swimming programs as required.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Resumes must be two pages or less and must clearly demonstrate relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and abilities.
  • Must possess the following certifications:
    • American Red Cross "Lifeguard" certification or nationally recognized equivalent (e.g., Ellis & Associates Lifeguard Certification).
    • American Red Cross "Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation for the Professional Rescuer" (CPR-Pro) certification or nationally recognized equivalent (e.g., Ellis & Associates (CPR) Certification).
    • American Red Cross "Automated External Defibrillator" (AED) certification or nationally recognized equivalent (e.g., Ellis & Associates AED certification).
    • American Red Cross "Oxygen Administration" certification or nationally recognized equivalent (e.g., Ellis & Associates Oxygen Administration certification).
