Electrician (General Maintenance)
Assembles, installs, tests, and maintains electrical equipment and fixtures, including troubleshooting and repair of electrical systems.
Job Description
Work to include:
- Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical equipment and fixtures.
- Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning electrical systems.
- Plan the layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
- Prepare sketches and follow blueprints.
- Project documentation and reports.
- Some work may require working on ladders, scaffolds, and roofs; safety gear (harness) to be used as necessary.
- Support work for other projects (non-electrical related) may be required.
- Any other works designated by the company.
Work Location
Ginowan City, Okinawa. Work location may change due to personnel changes such as reassignment, transfer, and secondment.
Working Hours
8:00 – 17:00 (1 hour lunch break). There might be some overtime work.
Holidays
Saturdays, Sundays, other days as specified by the company (124 non-working days per year). 10 days of annual leave will be provided when 6 months of service is completed.
Bonus
Twice a year (July and December). Base salary x 2.0 total (results from previous year is 3.0).
Pay Raise
Once a year (Spring).
Retirement Bonus
Applicable to join the system when an employee reaches 1 year of service.
Others
Length-of-service awards, qualification acquisition support system. Measures against passive smoking are in place (smoking is prohibited indoors; designated smoking areas are available outdoors).
Requirements
Required Skills and Experience
- Electrical work, to include piping as necessary.
- Familiar with a variety of tools and equipment necessary to perform electrical work.
- Computer/Microsoft Office skills preferred but not necessary.
- Experience with trenching, laying conduit, and pulling wires would be looked on favorably.
Required License
- Second-Class Electrician license or above (First-Class Electrician license preferred).
- Standard Japanese Driver's license.
